Why this matters
AI is already being deployed in clinical settings. It's influencing how care is documented, how decisions get made, and what nursing looks like in five years. The people building these tools are not nurses. The people approving them are not nurses. That has to change.
If nurses want to be stewards of their patients, their peers, and their profession, we have to show up informed — not just as end users of technology someone else designed, but as people who understand it, can evaluate it, and can push back when it gets something wrong.
This course gives you that foundation.
What you'll gain
Who's teaching
Rebecca Love, RN, MSN, FIEL
Founder, Nurse Approved · Co-founder, SONSIEL
Rebecca is one of the most recognized voices in nursing innovation in the world. She founded Nurse Approved, a platform built on the belief that nurses should lead the evaluation of products and technology entering their profession — including AI. She has worked closely with leading AI companies bringing technology into healthcare, and has been deeply engaged in the intersection of AI and nursing for years. She co-founded SONSIEL, a nursing nonprofit recognized by the United Nations, and made history as the first nurse ever featured on TED.com. Named one of Modern Healthcare's most influential people in healthcare, she's been covered by Forbes, Fortune, the BBC, and ABC News. Rebecca has spent her career making sure nurses aren't just watching healthcare change — they're building it.
Zach Smith
Co-founder & CEO, GownCard · Former bedside RN
Zach started at the bedside and has been building technology for nurses since 2015, when he co-created NurseGrid, the number one nurse scheduling app in the nation. He is the co-founder and CEO of GownCard, an AI-powered platform for operating room teams that digitizes surgical knowledge and streamlines how OR staff work. He has used AI to design and build websites and tools that real people use today — and he brings that hands-on experience directly into the classroom. He knows firsthand what gets left on the table when nurses aren't in the room — and what becomes possible when they are.

Rotating experts each session
Each session brings in practitioners, founders, and researchers building at the edge of AI and healthcare — people who can speak honestly about what's real, what's coming, and exactly where nurses fit in.
Certificate of completion
Everyone who completes all three sessions receives a certificate to add to their resume and LinkedIn. One enrollment, one fee, all three sessions — and something real to show for it. As AI literacy becomes an expectation in clinical settings, this is the kind of credential that opens doors.
Three Wednesday evenings. Six hours total. Everything you need to go from AI-curious to AI-ready — and a cohort of nurses doing it with you.
